March 2023 Highlights

Every month we share the work we've been looking at and admiring. In this edition, we look at some branding work from both Smith & Diction, For The People, the great Goonies Webflow site, beautiful art from Gemma O'Brien, and we take Cron for a spin.

Suburban Enterprises

by Smith and Diction

Suburban from Smith & Diction
Suburban from Smith & Diction

Suburban Enterprises specialises in installing terrazzo and tile surfaces for commercial and residential spaces. The branding and this mark shout confidence and quality; we love the sturdy "S" monogram with abstract hints of the "E". The wordmark has been paired with Blender.

The combined branding makes you feel you can trust this company to complete your interior construction work to the finest level. We especially like the addition of the orange pencils 👌

Story Espresso

by For The People

Story Espresso from For The People

Story Espresso is a coffee shop in Sydney, Australia. This new logo has the feel of "Where The Wild Things Are" we love a mascot that portrays any positive emotion. Along with the monster is a simple word mark. Where this brand truly comes alive though, is in the copywriting. We can't get enough of this work. Some of the best 🔥

The Goonies

The Goonies

Built in webflow, this website uses scroll jacking to reveal content slowly, allowing the screen to tell and reveal a story. This website brings back memories from all those years ago. We can't get enough of the character profiles and gallery. Goonies never say die.

Cron

Cron — Calendar App

We've been lucky enough to be playing with Cron for a few weeks now, and we're hoping for a lot of Notion integration now it's been purchased by them. From the quick navigation to easily sharing your availability (or lack thereof), it's fair to say we're sold.
